How do guest players for Club Soccer in SoCal (Southern California) for tournaments as of Aug 2024
I’m the parent team manager for one of the Rangers FC South teams. Rangers FC South is a member of CalSouth and our players are members of US Club Soccer.
At a high level, there are 2 different club soccer organizations — US Club Soccer and US Youth Soccer. In some tournaments, the requirement is that all the members of the team have to be in the same organization, and in other tournaments, you can mix and match organizations.
Situation 1: We wanted to have guest players from Strikers North. Both organizations are part of US Club Soccer, so we only need to fill out the guest form and follow the process on the form.
Situation 2: We wanted to have guest players from JUSA and BOCA. Since both of those organizations are not part of US Club Soccer, you need to register the guest players as NEW US Club Soccer members.
Summary:
If you are guesting players that have a US Club Soccer number.
- You just need to fill out this form for both organizations. https://usclubsoccer.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/US-Club-Soccer-Player-Loan-Form.docx and then follow the rest of the process (send in the form to US Club Soccer).
- This process may take a week or more due to getting signatures from both clubs.
If you are guesting players that don’t have a US Club Soccer number. In our situation, it’s players in JUSA or BOCA.
- They need to register as a new US Club Soccer member. They need to fill out the US Club Soccer form (https://ocsurf.surfsoccer.com/attachments/view/US%20Club%20Player%20Medical%20Waiver-2024-RFC.pdf?file=15%2F2024%2F02%2FUS+Club+Player+Medical+Waiver-2024-RFC.pdf), send in birth certificate, photo and also fees to register the player with US Club Soccer.
- This process may take a week or more due to getting the card issued by US Club Soccer.
