I’m Albert, and I’m Head of Community and Developer Relations at CelerData. CelerData is a $60 million VC-funded startup that is building StarRocks, an open-source replacement for Snowflake, Big Query, and RedShift.

In the Common Room Community Led Growth Report (https://www.commonroom.io/download/community-led-growth-report-2022/), my community engagement rate is 5x to 10x better than other peer communities. There are a bunch of “things” that we do, but I think the biggest reason why we have better engagement is “messaging automation."

What do I mean by “messaging automation”? It basically means that we have mapped all the major community user journey maps and defined the flow, what success looks like for the business and community, what the important call to action is, etc etc and we have implemented messaging to help with the community user jouney map flow. To me, what is interesting is that even Common Room says that I’ve implemented every single playbook (their version of automations) that they have. As far as I know, it’s one of the most comprehensive among Common Room users.
